Details or Reviewer - Newly qualified, used book for several months.
Plus points: good self-study exercises SB pp 27-28 and good scenarios to help students understand the messages SB p 23 a good variety of ‘profiles’.
Minus Points: The exam practice pages should be set out in the style of the Vantage exam – answer sheets are not included e.g. p 68. Exam topics do not always align with subjects studied in previous units e.g. p18 business finance reading exercise.
Teacher’s book, workbook and accompanying CD very good. The dedicated website provides a reminder of the contents and structure of the BEC Vantage exam. In general a little bit disappointing – for example there is no great emphasis on ‘sales’ - this area has had to be supplemented with several exercises. The students like the self-study sections and the CD. Teacher has supplemented the book using material on teamwork, leadership and communication skills using current business articles from publications and newspapers.
Teacher’s book would benefit from some indication of the key points examiners require from students i.e. the marking system not just the marking structure.Reship please add：(Copy from：sinoec.net)
