Best things about this course:
Page 6 - A good way to start a course.
Page 126 – Vocabulary Builder - So helpful!
Page 118 – Communication activities – very interesting – good reinforcement and practice.
Page 38 – Mini sagas – something new and useful for this level.
Page 67 – Feng Shui – really interesting for students and teacher!
Dislikes:
Page 46 – A bit heavy – it works in this context though!
Teacher’s book?
Very helpful.
Workbook, accompanying cassette/CD?
The workbook is perfect – we haven’t used the accompanying cassette.
Is it complete, have you used supplementary material?
I think it is complete – I much appreciate the supplementary materials in the teacher’s book.
Far superior to other course books at the same level.
‘Unique selling points’?
It’s fun – it has lots of interesting subjects and covers all the necessary grammar, vocabulary, etc in preparation for FCE.
What do the students like about it?
They appreciate the songs – (except for p 95 which is really dreary – good vocabulary but a disappointing song) – the variety, the interesting topics, pronunciation etc.
Is there anything they dislike about it?
I haven’t heard anything negative. It’s interesting that students will often sell an old book to make a little money but they never do this with English File Upper as they value it too much!
Further comments?
I am impressed at the inclusion of cultural information. Having used this course once I noticed how much progress students had made and I am thrilled to be using it again! Reship please add：(Copy from：sinoec.net)
